Description

Sweet Tea Harvest Punch is a refreshing and versatile drink perfect for any season, featuring a blend of black tea, apple cider, orange juice, and natural honey with fresh fruit and cinnamon sticks for a warm or cold serving option.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit and Spice

  • 1 orange – thinly sliced
  • 1 apple – thinly sliced
  • 3-4 cinnamon sticks – food grade

Liquids and Sweetener

  • ¼ cup honey – or to taste
  • 2 cups unsweetened black tea
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup apple cider

Instructions

  1. Prepare Fruit and Cinnamon: In a pitcher or large punch bowl, add the thinly sliced orange and apple slices along with the 3-4 cinnamon sticks to infuse the drink with flavor.
  2. Mix the Punch: Pour the honey, unsweetened black tea, orange juice, and apple cider into the pitcher or punch bowl. Stir very well until all ingredients are fully combined and the honey is dissolved.
  3. Serve Cold: Serve the punch over ice in glasses, making it a refreshing cold beverage ideal for warm days.
  4. Serve Hot Using Slow Cooker: Place black tea, apple cider, orange juice, and honey in a slow cooker on high heat. Once hot, reduce to the keep warm setting and ladle into heat-safe glasses. Garnish with fresh orange, apple slices, and cinnamon sticks.
  5. Serve Hot Using Stovetop: Combine black tea, apple cider, orange juice, and honey in a large pot. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer gently. Ladle into heat-safe glasses and garnish with fruit and cinnamon sticks for a cozy warm punch.

Notes

  • Store leftover punch in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and stir well before serving again.
  • To make a sparkling non-alcoholic version, add a half cup of alcohol-removed Fre brut (champagne) and adjust to taste.
  • Non-alcoholic rum, whiskey, or tequila can be added in half-cup portions for a zero-proof spirited punch.
  • Adjust the amount of honey to your desired sweetness preference.
  • For hot servings, use heat-safe glasses to avoid cracking from heat.
