Description

These Smash Chicken Caesar Tacos combine flavorful ground chicken with classic Caesar salad ingredients for a crispy, savory taco experience that’s quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Mixture

  • 500 g ground chicken
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Tacos

  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1/2 head romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/3 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp bacon bits
  • Avocado oil for cooking (approximately 1 tbsp)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the ground chicken with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well mixed.
  2. Spread Chicken on Tortillas: Spread a thin, even layer of the seasoned ground chicken onto the back side of each flour tortilla, pressing it down firmly to ensure even cooking.
  3. Cook the Tacos: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little avocado oil. Place the tortillas chicken side down in the skillet and cook for about 3 minutes until the chicken is golden and fully cooked. Flip the tortillas and cook the other side briefly until crisp.
  4. Prepare the Toppings: Chop the romaine lettuce and optionally toss with Caesar dressing in advance, or drizzle dressing on each taco after cooking.
  5. Assemble the Tacos: Top each cooked tortilla with romaine lettuce, a drizzle of Caesar dressing, a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese, and crispy bacon bits.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Fold the tacos and serve immediately for the best crispy chicken taco experience.

Notes

  • Use flour tortillas for best texture, but corn tortillas can be substituted if desired.
  • For crispier chicken, press down firmly while spreading and ensure skillet is preheated properly.
  • To make preparation faster, toss the romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing ahead of time.
  • Avocado oil is preferred for its high smoke point; you can substitute with vegetable or canola oil.
  • For a low-fat option, use a light Caesar dressing and reduce or omit bacon bits.
