Description

These Fabulous Five Ingredient Raspberry Bars are a simple and delicious treat featuring a buttery crumb crust layered with sweet, seedless raspberry jam. Perfect for a quick dessert or snack, they bake to a golden brown and are easy to prepare with minimal ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust and Topping

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened to room temperature
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg room temperature

Filling

  • 1 jar seedless raspberry jam (9-12 ounce jar)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the bars.
  2. Mix Crust Ingredients: Using an electric mixer on low speed, combine the softened butter, all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and egg until the mixture becomes crumbly. Reserve 1 1/2 cups of this mixture to use as the topping.
  3. Press Crust: Press the remaining crumb mixture evenly into the bottom of a prepared 13 x 9 inch baking dish to form the crust layer.
  4. Add Jam Layer: Evenly spread the entire jar of seedless raspberry jam over the crust, making sure to cover it thoroughly.
  5. Add Topping: Crumble the reserved 1 1/2 cups of mixture over the raspberry jam layer, then press lightly to help it adhere.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and set.
  7. Cool and Serve: Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into 24 bars. Enjoy your delicious raspberry bars!

Notes

  • Make sure the butter and egg are at room temperature for easier mixing and better texture.
  • You can substitute seedless raspberry jam with other favorite jams like strawberry or apricot for variation.
  • Press the crust and topping firmly but gently to ensure even baking and prevent crumbling.
  • If you prefer a thicker jam layer, you can use a larger jar or add an additional 1/4 cup.
  • Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
