Description

This non-alcoholic Halloween punch is a refreshing and festive beverage made with blended fresh and frozen berries, lemon juice, and sparkling water, sweetened naturally with maple syrup. Perfect for parties and gatherings, it offers a fruity, light, and bubbly treat that can be enjoyed by all ages.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit

  • 1 pound strawberries (456 g), mostly thawed if frozen
  • ¼ cup blueberries (45 g), fresh preferred for color
  • ½ cup grapes (115 g), red or purple

Other Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 6 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 3 cups cold sparkling water (710 ml)

Instructions

  1. Blend the fruit: Combine strawberries, blueberries, grapes, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth. If needed, add a small amount of water to ease blending, but avoid using sparkling water at this stage to keep bubbles intact.
  2. Add maple syrup: Add the maple syrup to the blender and blend for just one more second to incorporate.
  3. Mix with sparkling water: Pour the blended fruit mixture into a punch bowl. Stir in the cold sparkling water gently just before serving to maintain lightness and volume without losing too much carbonation.
  4. Serve and store: Serve the punch immediately for best freshness and bubbliness. Cover and refrigerate any leftovers for up to 2 days.

Notes

  • Use cold sparkling water to preserve carbonation and keep the punch chilled.
  • Fresh blueberries provide better color, but frozen can be used if preferred darker.
  • The punch is best enjoyed immediately due to the sparkling water losing fizziness over time.
  • If using a regular blender, adding a small amount of cold water can help blend the fruit more smoothly before adding syrup.
