Description

Delicious and easy no-bake Oreo truffles made by combining crushed Oreo cookies with cream cheese, then dipped in melted chocolate and decorated with sprinkles for a sweet treat perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 25 original Oreo cookies
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened

Dipping Chocolates

  • 1/2 cup chopped white chocolate for dipping
  • 1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate for dipping

Decorations

  • Assorted sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Crush Oreos: Pulse the Oreo cookies in a food processor until they are crushed into small crumbs.
  2. Mix with Cream Cheese: Add the softened cream cheese to the crushed Oreos and process until the mixture forms a big balled clump that looks shiny on one side.
  3. Form Balls: Use a medium cookie scoop to portion the mixture into 1 inch balls, then roll each between your palms to make smooth, even shapes. Place the balls on parchment paper and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  4. Melt Chocolate: Place each kind of chocolate in small microwave-safe bowls and microwave in 30-second intervals until nearly melted, leaving a few small pieces to melt with residual heat to avoid burning.
  5. Dip Truffles: Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate of your choice, then place them back onto the parchment paper. Decorate with sprinkles or extra chocolate drizzle if desired.
  6. Set Chocolate: Allow the chocolate to harden by either setting the truffles at room temperature for about 30 minutes, refrigerating for 10 minutes, or freezing for 3 minutes before enjoying.

Notes

  • Use regular Oreos instead of Double Stuf as the latter has too much filling for the recipe. Brands like Back to Nature, Newman-O’s, and Famous Amos also work well.
  • Any type of chocolate can be used for dipping such as white, milk, ruby, or dark chocolate depending on your sweetness preference.
  • Oreo truffles should be refrigerated within a couple of hours after making and can be stored in an airtight container layered with parchment paper for up to one week in the refrigerator.
  • For longer storage, freeze the truffles in an airtight container for up to two months.
