Description

A festive and fun Halloween S’mores Dip featuring melted milk chocolate and ghost-shaped Peeps marshmallows decorated with mini chocolate chip faces. Perfect for parties or a spooky treat, served warm with graham crackers or Halloween-themed cookies for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Base

  • 2 cups milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips

Marshmallow Topping

  • 13 Peeps Halloween marshmallows, ghost-shaped and pumpkin-shaped
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips for decorating the ghost faces

Dippers

  • Graham crackers or Halloween-themed cookies for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F to prepare for melting the chocolate and toasting the marshmallows.
  2. Melt Chocolate: Spread 2 cups of chocolate chips evenly in a 9-inch baking dish or skillet. Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes, just until the chocolate starts to melt and becomes smooth.
  3. Add Marshmallows: Remove the dish from the oven and carefully arrange the 13 ghost-shaped Peeps marshmallows on top of the melted chocolate in a single layer.
  4. Decorate Faces: Place mini chocolate chips on the marshmallows to recreate the eyes and mouth, as the original Peeps markings will disappear in the oven.
  5. Bake Toast Marshmallows: Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 4 minutes, or until the marshmallows are puffed and slightly golden on top.
  6. Serve: Enjoy the s’mores dip immediately with graham crackers or Halloween-themed cookies for dipping into the warm, gooey chocolate and marshmallow mix.

Notes

  • Use a heatproof skillet or baking dish to ensure safe melting and baking.
  • If you prefer a darker chocolate flavor, semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips can be used instead of milk chocolate.
  • Mini chocolate chips work best for decorating the marshmallow faces for better detail.
  • Serve immediately for the best gooey texture; the dip will harden as it cools.
  • For added flavor, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the melted chocolate before baking.
