Description

Halloween Oreo stuffed brownies combine rich, fudgy chocolate brownie batter with a surprise center of whole Oreo cookies, topped with crushed Oreos for extra crunch and festive look. These decadent brownies are perfect for spooky celebrations and chocolate lovers alike.

Ingredients

Scale

Brownie Batter

  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 eggs (cold)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour

Oreos

  • 15 whole Oreos for stuffing
  • 5 crushed Oreos for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat the oven to 350F. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Melt Butter and Sugars: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together in 30-second intervals, stirring after each. Once melted, microwave for an additional minute and stir vigorously to fully dissolve the sugars. Using a mixer here is best for smooth texture.
  3. Add Eggs and Vanilla: Whisk in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract. The batter should be thick enough to pull away slightly from the sides of the bowl.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: Fold in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt just until combined, careful not to overmix.
  5. Layer Batter and Oreos: Pour half of the batter into the parchment-lined pan and spread evenly. Arrange the 15 whole Oreos in the center of the batter layer, then cover with the remaining brownie batter, spreading to cover the Oreos completely.
  6. Add Topping and Bake: Sprinkle the crushed 5 Oreos evenly over the top of the batter. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  7. Cool and Slice: Allow the brownies to cool fully on a wire rack before slicing into squares to reveal the perfect crinkle top and Oreo center.

Notes

  • Use cold eggs to help the batter hold together better.
  • Be careful not to overmix flour into the batter to keep brownies fudgy.
  • Allow brownies to cool completely for clean slices and to set the filling.
  • For extra festive effect, add orange or black food coloring to the batter before baking.
  • Parchment paper makes it easier to remove brownies from the pan.
