Description
This Halloween Pizza Dip is a fun and spooky appetizer perfect for Halloween parties. It features a creamy, cheesy chicken dip surrounded by cheddar-stuffed dough balls, with dough cutouts arranged to resemble a monster face for a festive touch.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Dip:
- 250 g boiled and shredded chicken
- 50 g mozzarella grated
- 70 g cheddar grated
- 120 ml ranch sauce
- 250 g cream cheese
- 240 ml ketchup
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
For the Dough:
- 1 ready-made pizza dough 400 g (~1 lb)
- 150 g cheddar cheese cut into cubes
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 200° C (319° F) to prepare for baking the dough and dip.
- Prepare the Dip: In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, grated mozzarella, grated cheddar, ranch sauce, cream cheese, and ketchup. Season with salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly with your hands wearing disposable gloves until evenly combined.
- Roll and Cut Dough: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough with a rolling pin. Using a knife, cut out shapes for eyes, nose, and mouth to create a monster face.
- Bake Dough Cutouts: Transfer the cutout dough pieces onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12 minutes. Remove and set aside for assembly.
- Prepare Dough Balls: Cut the remaining dough into 16 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a small ball, place a cube of cheddar cheese in the center, and seal the dough around the cheese.
- Assemble Dip: Arrange the cheese-stuffed dough balls around the edge of a large ovenproof skillet, leaving the center empty. Spread the prepared dip mixture in the empty center space.
- Bake the Dip and Dough: Bake the skillet in the oven for 35 minutes or until the dough balls are golden brown and the dip is hot and bubbly.
- Final Assembly: Remove the skillet from the oven and carefully place the baked dough cutouts on top of the dip in the shape of a monster face using the eyes, nose, and mouth pieces.
- Serve: Serve the Halloween Pizza Dip hot as a fun and festive appetizer.
Notes
- You can substitute cream cheese with yogurt for a lighter dip texture.
- If ranch sauce is unavailable, a mix of sour cream and herbs can be used as a substitute.
- Use disposable gloves when mixing the dip for easier handling and cleanliness.
- Ensure dough balls are sealed well to prevent cheese from leaking during baking.
- Use parchment paper to avoid sticking when baking dough shapes.
