Description

Delight in these easy-to-make Chocolate Strawberry Frozen Yogurt Bites, combining fresh strawberries and creamy Greek yogurt coated in rich dark chocolate. Perfect as a healthy snack or a refreshing dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Yogurt Mixture

  • 2 cups fresh diced strawberries
  • 1 cup strawberry Greek yogurt

Chocolate Coating

  • 12 ounces dark chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil – optional
  • Sea salt – optional

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside to prevent sticking.
  2. Make Yogurt Mixture: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the diced strawberries with the strawberry Greek yogurt until you have a creamy, fruity yogurt blend.
  3. Form Bites: Drop the yogurt mixture onto the lined baking sheet in small 2-inch clusters, spacing them apart. You should get about 8 bites from this recipe.
  4. Freeze Bites: Place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze the yogurt bites until frozen solid, approximately 30 minutes.
  5. Melt Chocolate: Put the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, add the coconut oil if using, and melt in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until fully melted. Let the melted chocolate cool at room temperature for 3-5 minutes.
  6. Coat Bites: Remove the frozen yogurt bites from the freezer and dip each one completely into the melted chocolate using a fork. Place them back on the baking sheet and sprinkle with sea salt if desired.
  7. Set Chocolate: Let the coated bites sit for a few minutes to allow the chocolate to harden before enjoying.

Notes

  • Use fresh fruit for the best flavor and texture.
  • An ice cream scoop can help make uniform-sized yogurt bites easily.
  • Ensure the yogurt bites are fully frozen before dipping to prevent melting.
  • Store leftovers in a refrigerator container for up to 4 days or freeze between parchment paper layers in a freezer-safe container for up to one month.
