Description

Delicious and moist Chocolate Chip Banana Bars made with ripe bananas, brown sugar, and mini chocolate chips. Perfect for a snack or dessert, these bars are quick to prepare and bake into sweet, satisfying treats.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 5 very ripe bananas (about 1 2/3 cups mashed)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup oil (any type, coconut oil recommended)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips (divided)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 15 x 10.5 inch pan with non-stick spray. Set aside.
  2. Mash Bananas and Mix Wet Ingredients: Peel the bananas and mash them well in a large bowl. Stir in the brown sugar, oil, milk, and eggs until everything is well combined.
  3. Add Dry Ingredients: Add the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon to the wet mixture. Stir gently until the dry ingredients are just incorporated into the batter.
  4. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Fold in half of the mini chocolate chips into the batter carefully to distribute evenly.
  5. Prepare for Baking: Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top of the batter for extra chocolate goodness.
  6. Bake: Place the pan in the oven and bake for 22 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool and Serve: Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into 24 squares. Enjoy your homemade chocolate chip banana bars!
