Description

Deliciously flaky and chocolate-filled Air Fryer Croissants made with Pillsbury crescent rolls, Nutella, and chocolate chips. Egg Wash

  • 1 tbsp water or 2% milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare Croissants: Separate the crescent roll dough and lay each piece flat on a clean surface.
  2. Add Nutella: Spread about 2 teaspoons of Nutella evenly over the entire top surface of each flattened croissant.
  3. Add Chocolate Chips: Place ½ tablespoon of chocolate chips on the large end of each croissant.
  4. Roll Croissants: Begin rolling each croissant from the large end towards the smaller end, enclosing the filling inside.
  5. Make Egg Wash: Whisk together the egg and water or 2% milk until fully combined.
  6. Brush Egg Wash: Using a brush, apply the egg wash over the surface of each unbaked croissant for a nice golden finish.
  7. Prepare Air Fryer: Spray the bottom of the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  8. Air Fry Croissants: Place the croissants in a single layer in the air fryer basket, allowing space for them to expand. Air fry at 360 degrees for 8 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Add Garnishes: After cooking, optionally drizzle warm honey, melted chocolate chips, and sprinkle powdered sugar on top for extra sweetness and presentation.
